Burgas Airport is the biggest transport facility in Burgas area. Airport’s operation is creating problems due to over limit noise pollution from landing and departing airplanes – with its harmful affect to the exposed population. In this respect the following actions have been undertaken the last couple of years:
In year 2010 Burgas Municipality has given permission and has facilitating the process of installing four stationary noise terminals, property of airport’s operator “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AS. The locations are:
– Building of OU “Hr. Botev” – q. Sarafovo – MP01_NMTBOJ001;
– Building of ODZ “Ran Bosilek” – complex „Izgrev” – MP02_NMTBOJ002;
– Building of CDG „Raina Kniaginia” – complex „Slaveikov” – MP03_NMTBOJ003;
– Building of ODZ „Zvezdica Zornica” – complex „Zornica” – MP04_NMTBOJ004.
With the aim to provide the public a realistic information re. airport trafic noise impact in Burgas area, Municipality of Burgas is receiving the data from those four noise monitoring terminals, property of “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AS.
A noise monitoring system for aviation noise shall incorporate the feature of radar and flight data correlation – with the purpose to assess the airplane traffic noise source.
The visualisation in recent web portal is based on “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AS raw data (provided to Burgas Municipality and SPECTRI Ltd.). “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AS is fully and entirely responsible for the accurateness, correctness and fulliness of provided information.
